My Aunt Theda made the best peanut brittle. After her passing a few years ago, I picked up the peanut brittle apron strings, and continued ordering the most important ingredient from GH...raw peanuts. Every year, the peanuts are whole, robust, creamy in color, and silky to the touch, with very little skin floating around in the bag. This year however, the majority of the peanuts were in halves, were much, much smaller, and the bags were littered with skins that I had to sift through and remove. Although I was disappointed with the unusual quality/appearance, the flavor was just as good as every other year. I'll be back for more!

    Rare Raw Peanuts

Posted by Unknown on 15th Dec 2016

I use raw peanuts in my holiday peanut brittle. The store where I always bought my peanuts closed and I looked everywhere for raw peanuts to no avail. Then I found George Howe on-line.
The same great peanuts at a great price! My small order was filled quickly and arrived within a few days. Thanks for the great product and the great service.

I have ordered raw peanuts here for years and they have always been perfect. I give my homemade peanut brittle to friends at Christmas and always tell them I have to give credit to your company first. Thank you again!

For the last several years I have ordered your extra large virginia raw peanuts and they are the best! My last order was delayed, but when I received them I found they were extremely clean and fresh. I make over 20 batches to give as Christmas gifts. In fact, my family and friends call to ask if I forgot to give them the peanut brittle. Your recipe is great too, but I don't add the salt. Thank you.

We order George Howe's peanuts every year. We make 10-15 batches of peanut brittle every year; sometimes more. The peanut brittle is absolutely awesome.

    Perfect for peanut brittle

I ordered these peanuts to make microwave peanut brittle. I used to get my peanuts from the peanut shop in Williamsburg via catalog. They stopped selling raw peanuts. My family and I tried other raw peanuts unsuccessfully. Your peanuts gave us back our favorite family treat. Outstanding! We ALL thank you.

Different but in a good way

I never bought raw peanuts before. If I eat peanuts it is usually the Planters brand. Very salty and your typical peanut taste. It's hard to find unsalted peanuts. I tried these and it didn't have that strong initial peanut odor and taste. I had to get use to it but I can see a big difference in these raw peanuts over store bought peanuts. These are way better.

I have used Howe's raw peanuts to make peanut brittle for years and give the credit to the peanuts. The service was wonderful also.
