Spanish Peanuts

Sprinkle these on a hot fudge sundae, pour out a bowl for snacking or bake into a delicious cookie (see recipe below!) High in protein, low in saturated fat. Lightly salted.

SPANISH PEANUT COOKIES

Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 pound HOWE salted Spanish Peanuts

Directions
Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually, Add vanilla and eggs; beat well. Sift flour and soda; add to mixture. Add rolled oats and HOWE Spanish Peanuts. Mix well. Shape dough into small balls. Place on cookie sheets. Bake seven minutes at 425 degrees. Makes about five dozen.
