OUR LOCATION
In the beautiful, historic town of Grove City, PA. With a population of about 8,000, Grove City is located 60 miles north of Pittsburgh. Our plant, at 629 West Main Street, is just minutes from the junction of interstates 79 and 80. If you're ever in the area, please consider visiting our retail store, which sells a variety of bulk and brand name candies, as well as our fresh roasted coffee and nuts. Our retail store is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The retail store is closed on Sunday.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. For those wishing to pay by check or money order, please place your order over the phone during normal business hours at 800-367-4693, ext. 240. We do not charge a special processing fee for phone-in/mail-in orders.
SHIPPING POLICY
When you fill your cart with "free shipping eligible" items totaling $45 or more, your shipping is free! This free shipping offer only applies to orders shipped within the contiguous 48 states.
The only items that are not free shipping eligible are our wholesale candies and nuts sold by the full case (usually 25 pounds or more). We continue to offer wholesale items by the full case at extreme discount prices, however, the real-time UPS shipping charge will be added for these items.
Orders that qualify for free shipping will be shipped via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail. Our web store manager will choose the best option based on the number of items ordered and package weight.
For orders less than $45, real-time UPS/USPS shipping rates can be viewed from our shopping cart and at checkout. Customers simply need to enter their zip code to view rates for UPS Ground, U.S. Postal Service, UPS 2nd Day and UPS Next Day Air.
Most orders are processed and shipped within one to three business days. UPS 2nd Day and UPS Next Day Air orders usually ship the same day if received before 11:00 a.m. ET Otherwise, expedited orders will ship the next business day. If you desire rush delivery, please call us after placing your order at 800-367-4693 ext. 240 so that we can flag your order and process immediately.
DELIVERY TIME
We strive to ship all orders from our factory within three business days, however, the total number of days that it will take for your package to arrive is determined by your U.S. location.
PHONE-IN/MAIL-IN ORDERS
Phone-in orders may be placed by calling 800-367-4693, ext. 240 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. ET. Mail-in orders may be placed by printing out your shopping cart page and mailing it along with a check or money order to: George J. Howe Company, c/o Web Store, P.O. Box 269, Grove City, PA 16127.
WARM WEATHER SHIPMENTS
To help keep your candy cool in transit, please consider adding one or more reusable Polar Packs to your order. These remain cold for 2-3 days and are lined with a special moisture guard to reduce condensation. The George J. Howe Company will not be responsible for melted candy.
GIFT ORDERS
Our neatly packed boxes of goodies make perfect gifts. We'll tuck a handwritten gift card inside each box with your personal message. Simply type your note into the "Special Instructions" section of our on-line order form.
APO/FPO ORDERS
The George Howe Company happily ships to APO/FPO addresses. The U.S. Postal Service Priority shipping fee will be added to your final total. If you choose to place such an order via the web, simply include the complete address in the "Shipping Information" section of our on-line form and select "District of Columbia" in the "State/Province" drop-down box. Or you may place your order over the phone by calling us toll-free at 800-FOR-HOWE (800-367-4693). Please ask for extension 218 or 240.
TAX
A 6% sales tax will be added to West Virginia orders. Tax will be added on candy items only for orders shipped to Maryland (5%), New York (6%), New Jersey (7%) and Indiana (7%).
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Shopping at our web store is safe and secure. Because all orders are processed through a secure (SSL) connection, none of our customers have reported any credit card fraud as a result of placing orders with us. For added security, we do not store your credit card number in our database. Your credit card information will only be used to process the current transaction.
